Pathways for accredited learning

  1. Use Resources 5o and 5p to raise awareness of the range of qualifications possible for the children's workforce in school settings. Follow exercise 5o (and booklet 5p) to consider the range of qualifications available.
  2. Consider appropriate ways of mapping potential accredited pathways that will help with your schools priorities. Consider 'test-driving' these framework materials with 'volunteer' staff.
  3. Study the memos in Resource 5q and identify the key issues to be reconciled in relation to access, equity, budgets, external funding, time (in and out of school), succession planning.
  4. To address the issues raised in 5q consider the criteria that should guide the CPD Leaders decision making. Consider whether there is a role for the CPD Leader to reconcile a colleague's personal aspirations that aren't within the school's improvement agenda.
