A Leicestershire school found that using the self assessment grid as a basis for the Leadership Team to examine their CPD processes had a direct impact on the Leadership Improvement Plan. The ‘Cost Benefit Analysis’ document was presented to staff and governors to raise awareness of effective CPD and its potential impact.Staff involved in training now expect to be asked what they have done as a result and how it has impacted on student learning, with specific pieces of CPD followed up in depth.
